Craig Beytien, President

Craig Beytien was born in Minnesota and grew up in Kansas City. There, along with his parents and two siblings, Craig attended public schools and graduated from the University of Kansas in 1982. He began his business career in educational publishing with Macmillan in Kansas and then in California before he joined McGraw-Hill in 1988 as College Textbook Editor. He worked his way up the corporate ladder to a position of Vice-President of Product Development at McGraw-Hill over 16-years. In 2004, Craig joined forces with a former colleague in a publishing consulting firm called Content Connections, where is he is Executive VP and a Partner. Craig, his wife Alyson, and his three sons, Spencer, Joshua, and Zachary moved to Dubuque in 2003. Craig is a woodworker hobbyist and semi-professional magician.

Mike Donohue, Vice President

Mike Donohue was born and raised in Cedar Rapids and moved to Dubuque in 1994. He is a Regional President for U.S. Bank, overseeing 28 banking centers in Northeast Iowa, Northern Illinois and Southern Wisconsin . Mike graduated with a double major in math and business management from Luther College in 1982 and a MBA from University of Wisconsin – Whitewater in 1992. He has been actively involved in leadership positions with many community organizations including Hillcrest Family Services, Hills & Dales, Dubuque Area Chamber of Commerce, United Way, Greater Dubuque Development Corporation, Luther Manor Foundation and Lord of Life Lutheran Church. Mike and his wife, Jeanie, have one daughter who graduated from Hempstead in 2010 and one daughter who is a senior at Hempstead .

Otto Krueger

Otto Krueger was educated in Dubuque. He is a Hempstead graduate (1972). He has a Music Degree from Coe College and an MA in Public Administration from Northern Colorado. He is a retired Air Force officer returning to Dubuque in 2002. He is involved in business and community service. He is Manager of Purchasing for the Diamond Jo Casino. He volunteers as a mentor for children, works with downtown charities and is past Chairman for the Civil Service Commission. He has three grown sons.

Tami Ryan

Tami grew up in Dubuque and graduated from Hempstead High School. She moved back to Dubuque in 1999. Tami has been a substitute teacher in the district for the past 10 years. She is currently an Adjunct Instructor with the University of Dubuque supervising Student Teachers. Tami and her husband Steve are co-owners of Wendy's Restaurants. She servse on the Board of the Finley Health Foundation and continues to be involved in other community organizations as well as volunteering at her daughter's school.

George Davis

George Davis is an Attorney in private practice with the Locher & Locher law firm. Prior to beginning his law practice he was a CPA with McGladrey & Pullen and with Deloitte & Touche. He has taught accounting, auditing, tax and business law courses in the Clarke College Time Saver program since 1998 and is on the Board of Directors of Western Dubuque Biodiesel, LLC. George and his wife, Chris Even, have two children in the Dubuque Community Schools.

Matt Strelo

Born in Oakland and raised in Northern California, Matt graduated from San Lorenzo High School and California State University, Hayward. He spent nearly 30 years in professional sports management, media and non-profit industries. His career began at age 16 with the Oakland A's baseball team. Matt spent nearly 12 years with the A's and reached the position of Director of Sponsor Services/Special Events. Matt's tenure included participation in three World Series and the 1987 MLB All-Star Game as well as the 1989 Bay Bridge World Series famous for the major earthquake. He has also held Senior Management positions in NASCAR, the PGA TOUR, Minor-League Baseball, and Minor- and Major-League Hockey. Matt moved to Dubuque in 2010 as the President of the Fighting Saints hockey team. Currently Matt serves as the Director of Development for Stonehill Franciscan Services. Matt is married to Audrea and has two children that were adopted from Kazakhstan in 2004. Ben is first grader and Jack a second grader at Irving Elementary School.

Tom Barton

Tom Barton has spent his entire life in Dubuque, the best small city in America. After two terms on the board from 2001-06, Tom took a breather and chose to not seek re-election. He then successfully ran again in 2011, making this his third term. He's the founder and president of Barton Wealth Management. Tom is a past chairman of the board for the Dubuque Chamber of Commerce and is heavily involved as a Dubuque community leader. His kids Matt and Katie attend Dubuque public schools and his wife, Barb, is a fundraising professional at Mercy Hospital.
